Indiana Fashion Week is rolling out the red carpet on Monday, Aug. 21, with runway shows, youth opportunities + a full schedule of events. Let’s ad-dress everything you need to know about the week.
What is it?
Indiana Fashion Week is now a convention-style gathering that brings together hundreds of style enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and professionals from all over Indiana — but it started with only 30 participants, six audience members, and a budget of $250.
Indiana Fashion Week was created in 2019 by Denisha Ferguson, CEO of Indiana Fashion Foundation. It’s quickly grown into an annual event that provides education and exhibit opportunities to grow the state’s fashion industry. The week received even more attention with a feature in Forbes in 2021, in which Council of Fashion Designers of America CEO + Hoosier Steven Kolb discussed Indy’s potential as the next big fashion capital.
