Hello Friday.
March 29 2024
Want to celebrate the day of thanks, but not planning on cooking a full dinner this year? Don’t quit Thanksgiving cold turkey — we’ve got you covered with where to dine-in + carry-out for Thanksgiving dinner.

Where to dine-in:
Rick's Café Boatyard, 4050 Dandy Trail | By reservation
Grab a table with a view of Eagle Creek Reservoir at this west side restaurant. What’s on the menu? It’s a classic meal from the turkey all the way to the pumpkin pie.
Where to carry-out:
Old Gold BBQ, 140 S. College Ave. | Place orders by tomorrow, Nov. 18
Order now or forever hold your peas. This BBQ joint is offering up whole smoked turkeys, prime brisket + pulled pork for whatever meat your family fancies.
Pots & Pans Pie Co. 4915 N. College Ave. | Place orders by Nov. 22
Choose from apple crumble, caramel pumpkin, sweet potato, sugar crème brûlée (a twist on Indiana’s state pie) or maple pecan pie at this SoBro staple.
Pro tip: Cook the whole meal at once by snagging one (or three) of its Thanksgiving pot pies, which are complete with turkey, stuffing, gravy + mashed potatoes.
To-die-for pie you can buy at Wildwood Market | Photo via @wildwoodmarket
Where to shop local ingredients:
Wildwood Market, 1015 Virginia Ave. | Mon.-Fri.: 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Sat.: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Most of its meat selection is sold out, but you can still impress your friends + family with side dishes like cranberry sauce’s cousin — cranberry + blood orange chutney or glazed pecans with bourbon soaked dried fruit.
Goose the Market, 2503 N. Delaware St. | Mon.-Fri.: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat.-Sun.: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Get your turkey raw or smoked along with all the fixings. Jazz it up with herb butter escargot or keep it simple with green bean casserole, made with local mushrooms.
Pro tip: Not a turkey fan? Try its peach-wood smoked ham with rosemary, tangerine + mustard glaze.
