There are 60 units in the dorm-style building + leases can be as short as one month or as long as two years — perfect for short-term contractors.

The “Co-Share” Mansion includes studios with a bed, mattress + desk if you’re furnitureless, or they can be easily removed if you’re bringing your own. All utilities are provided (that means WiFi, too) and access to its luxury amenities is free.

Co-living apartments have access to the following shared spaces:

Dining room
Kitchen — complete with not one, but three ovens
Bath house
Outdoor pool (perfect for the summer)
Movie room
Library
Sauna
Exercise room
Meditation room

The coffee shop, which is open to the public, recently reopened under new management in October. The new owner said that jazz nights are on the horizon + everything, including the flavored syrups, is made in-house.

The building is part of the larger Central State neighborhood on the city’s west side — a mixed-use village that’s been steadily growing since 2007. The area has seen over $80 million in investments + has a charter school, the Indiana Medical History Museum, People for Urban Progress headquarters, and the 1899 event venue.

Pro tip: It’s just a quick drive to the International Marketplace — home to the city’s best global cuisines.

A 123-year-old building in Bates-Hendricks (formerly Moore’s Market) will become home to a new nail salon in April 2022. City Nail Bar owner Jody Alexander will be opening her second location in the neighborhood, partly due to the number of clients who reside there. 💅 (IBJ)

Travel

In preparation for the Purple Line construction — which will connect Indy to Lawrence — utility work will cause some IndyGo bus stops to close + routes to detour for a few days. Construction is expected to last through Fri., Dec. 3. You can plan your route on IndyGo’s website. 🚌 (WRTV)

Real Estate

The Matthews Mansion has been fully renovated + is on the market for $1.19 million. The house, which is located in Ellettsville (south of Indianapolis), has a French Second Empire architectural style with two private acres. Health

The Children’s Museum will be hosting a free COVID-19 + flu vaccination clinic on Thurs., Dec. 2 from 4-8 p.m. (while supplies last). Pfizer shots will be available for children as young as five years old, as well as boosters for adults 18+ years. The event is in partnership with Riley Children’s Health. 💉

If you look closely, you just might spot Indy’s legendary cherub on the corner of Washington + Meridian Streets, which annually appears around this time of year to watch over holiday shoppers. Look for it atop the Ayres clock the next time you’re downtown. 👼 (WRTV)
