Indy has already kicked off the warmer months with some great events like WonderRoad, Talbot Street + Broad Ripple Art Fairs, but there's still so much more to look forward to.

Garfield Park Art & Music Festival | Sat., June 25 | 3-10 p.m. | Macallister Amphitheater and Grounds | Indy’s oldest city park will celebrate local art, music + culture — handmade crafts and food trucks will also be available.
Outlaw Music Festival | Sun., June 26 | 4 p.m. | Ruoff Music Center | $20+ | Get your boots ready — country’s Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, The Avett Brothers + more are set to perform.

Not-for-profit cultural development agency Urban Legacy Lands Initiative Inc. announced that it has received $1.6 million in grant money to support projects along Indiana Avenue. The money will be used to restore historically Black Indianapolis areas + boost education. 💵 (IBJ)
The Indiana State Fair announced that eighties rock icon Pat Benatar + husband Neil Giraldo will perform Sun., Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The four-time Grammy Award winners will close out this year’s festivities. View the rest of the lineup. 🎶 (WRTV)
Dunkin’ will open a new location on the corner of College Avenue + 49th Street. It will be the eighth shop in Indianapolis, and it is currently slated to open in mid-August. We’ll keep you posted on any changes. 🍩 (WRTV)
Indianapolis officials announced plans to expand IMPD’s Mobile Crisis Assistance Team. Currently eight teams of two — one officer + one licensed mental health care worker — are responsible for answering calls during select weekday hours. The new plan will make a team of only mental health counselors available 24/7. 🧠 (WTHR)
- Since 2017, the former Women’s Prison on Randolph and New York Streets has been empty. This week, demolition crews arrived on the property to clean up the land. The project is expected to continue through the remainder of the year. 🛠 (FOX59)

Last night, the team was sixth in line for the NBA draft’s first round + chose Bennedict Mathurin — a Canadian player who played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats.
