Downtown Fireworks | Mon., July 4 | 8-10:30 p.m. | 500 N. Meridian Building | Free | The pyrotechnic show will be synced to patriotic music. Pro tip: The best viewing spots are the Indiana War Memorial grounds + American Legion Mall. View the map. 4th of July Blast + Watch Party | Mon., July 4 | 6 p.m. | Downtown Olly’s, 822 N. Illinois St. | Free | Enjoy a VIP bar in the backyard + performances by the Dan Burnell Band. End the night by watching the fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Metazoa's Fourth of July Celebration | Mon., July 4 | 11 a.m.-11 p.m. | 140 S. College Ave. | $10 | Join Metazoa Brewing Co. for a day of craft beer, tasty barbecue, live music, and more — the patio, dog park, and taproom will be open with outdoor yard games and skyline views. A new streetwear shop is on its way to the near east side. Streetly is having a grand opening celebration on Sat., July 23 from 12-6 p.m. at 3328 E. 10th St. and will feature clothes from an Indy fashion designer + retailer inspired by street culture. 👕

A discount on rideshares will be offered in Indy + Fort Wayne over Independence Day weekend, thanks to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute’s Sober Ride Indiana program. It’s offering $15 off Uber and Lyft rides with up to 1,000 redemptions per city from 5 p.m.-3 a.m. Learn how it works. 🚗 (WRTV)
Sports
The Colts training camp schedule has been released. The first of 16 practices will take place on Wed., July 27 and will be open to fans at Grand Park in Westfield. Theme days will include a Kids’ Day, Salute to Service Day + Fan Appreciation Day. Get all the info. 🏈 (WRTV)

Ohio-based health care company NewVista Behavioral Health announced an expansion to Indianapolis, thanks to a partnership with Ethan Crossing — a local mental health treatment center. The future campus will include a $6 million renovation and treat mental health + substance use disorders. It expects to open this summer. 🧠 (WRTV)
Eat -
Until Mon., July 4, the Marion County Fair will be serving up some unusual pizza. One vendor will be offering up crunchy mealworm, cricket + scorpion slices with salt and vinegar and pepper flavors. Dare to try it? Get your tickets. 🦗 (WTHR)
Cause -
Take a sip of this. Hotel Tango Distillery partnered with local drag queens to donate profits from its limited edition Pride vodka to the Modern Military Association of America, an organization that serves LGBTQ+ veterans and active service members. A group of Hoosiers swam a 12.5 mile, five-person relay race in the Florida Keys to bring money + awareness to Dove Recovery House, a treatment center for women recovering from addiction — raising $22,000. Indiana is zooming towards change. With electric cars on the rise + increasing gas prices, the state is quickly rolling out more charging ports — currently, a deployment plan for $100 million for electric vehicle development is in the works. 🔌 (IndyStar)
