Hello Friday. April 25 2025
What was once a functional warehouse for beans + other produce on the south side of downtown — known as the N. K. Hurst building — has been transformed into a beautiful, rustic wedding and event venue. |

The historic building, which has been family-owned since 1948, is now home to The Heirloom. A partnership between the Hurst family and Crystal Catering, which has served the city for more than 40 years, makes for the perfect marriage to give the site a new life. Elements from the building's original 1906 construction, like brick walls, polished wood floors, and exposed beams help create a nostalgic ambiance with a historic industrial aesthetic. |

Just steps away from Lucas Oil Stadium, The Heirloom is also located near downtown’s major hotels, the Indiana Convention Center, and White River State Park — and it offers skyline views, free parking, and outdoor terrace space.
This new venue can host up to 600 guests for reception-style corporate + social functions and up to 300 for seated wedding receptions. The Heirloom is here just in time for wedding season and is now open for site visits and bookings.
And if you’re one of our readers who’s newly engaged — first of all, congratulations, and second, be sure to check out Zola for all your wedding website, registry, and invite needs.*
